Steel Braided Performance

One of the trademarks of high performance brake systems is good pedal feel. A high performance brake system should deliver a firm, responsive pedal feel and one of the easiest ways to achieve this is by replacing the standard rubber brake hoses with a full set of stainless steel braided hoses.

The reason some brake pedals feel soft or spongy is because the rubber brake hose expands as pressure is applied through the system. Using steel braided hoses significantly reduces expansion allowing a more consistent line pressure which results in a firmer pedal.

Using stainless steel braided hoses also provides protection from exposure to abrasive elements such as stone or rocks which can deteriorate rubber brake hose over time.

PBR Performance braided hoses are ADR7/00 and ABR42/04 approved and manufactured based on original equipment specifications so that location grommets are fixed rather than floating which ensures the hose will never foul during full steering lock or suspension travel.
